This is an inspirational eight-week program on engaging more fully with life through activating our core attributes. It combines two approaches highly beneficial in life settings from home, to school, to work: mindfulness meditation and character strengths inquiry. The many benefits of this uniquely symbiotic program are supported by a wealth of scientific research. Self-discovery here leads to new self-awareness, which leads to personal evolution and deeper life satisfaction.
The course presents time-honored practices in mindfulness while also exploring 24 well-studied, universally recognized character strengths. Each individual will discover their "signature strengths" and how these can be drawn upon to advance one's deeper goals. Meditation techniques and strengths practices introduced each week can be integrated into daily life and work, where one can become a more focused and peaceful presence. Full inner engagement with this material has been shown to lead to a more meaningfully flourishing life, a happier life, whatever the outer circumstances.
