Meditation for Beginners
Three Sunday evenings beginning April 17, 2016

 
If you are attracted to the idea of meditating I offer a gentle path for beginners.  I call this approach Evolutionary Meditation because it helps to advance all aspects of life.  Through this practice you can expect to experience at first a sense of deep relaxation which can suffuse your day with more balance and clarity.

Dedicating even 20 minutes a day to a meditation practice can also produce life-enhancing physical benefits.  Health changes such as reduced stress, lowered blood pressure and enhanced immune function have been well documented in meditators, even after just a few weeks, as the body benefits from rest twice as deep as sleep.  The emotions are soothed and nourished as well. Over time as you contact deeper parts of yourself you are likely to find a growing sense of peaceful purpose in daily life.
This course uses a conference call system where you make a simple one-hour phone call each week.  During the calls I’ll be giving choices of several simple techniques for beginners and the group will begin meditating together.  There will be time for sharing and questions (I'm always available via email for questions or concerns as well).  Calls are recorded for later access.

After the course, participants will have the option to take the course again whenever they want, take the more comprehensive course "The Path Within", or join one of my ongoing meditation support groups.  If you've been interested in enhancing your life through the practice of meditation, email me to register.
